Abstract:ZA27 alloy has the best performance and the widest applications in high aluminum zinc based die casting alloy series. One of its main applica-tions is used as abrasion resistant alloy,instead of nonferrous alloys such as copper alloy.The frictional wear performance of ZA27 alloy was studied by SRV high temperature sliding friction tester and M-200 wear testing ma-chine. The effects of load,temperature,lubrication and added elements,such as Cu,Mg,Ce on the wear performance of ZA27 alloys were systematically investigated.The wear mechanisms of ZA27 alloys under various service con- ditions were also discussed.It helps to give practical basis to use rationally zinc aluminum die casting alloys.
