| Abstract: | Dong Zhongshu's political ideology is historically progressive to some extent. His theory of grand unification safeguards the centralization, strengthens the social security and restricts the monarchical power as well. He advocates selecting the worthy and promoting the capable and performing one's official duties honestly. A scientific attitude should be adopted when evaluating Dong's political ideology. |
