方东美论道家哲学对佛学的影响

在方东美哲学的发展过程中,不变的是一直推崇道家哲学,方东美认为,道家哲学接引了传入的外来佛学,并且帮助佛学在中国本土扎根。他虽然认为佛学理论同道家哲学接触之后,产生的是"交互作用",但是明确地反对学术界关于新道家哲学(魏晋玄学)受佛学影响的观点。他否定佛家思想对当时的道家哲学("新道家哲学")的影响意在表明新道家哲学在佛教传入中国时就已经产生,并非受了佛家思想的影响之后才产生。道家哲学与佛学结合的方式是"格义",导致的后果是印度佛学的"华化"。

Fang Dongmei's Research on the Influence of Taoist Philosophy to Buddhism

In the philosophy development of Fang Dongmei,Fang Dongmei was always esteemed as the Taoist philosophy. Fang Dongmei thinks that Taoist philosophy as connecting was to introduce foreign Buddhism,and helped Buddhism rooted in China. Although he thinks there will be an " interaction" after contacting the theory of Buddhism and Taoist philosophy,he explicitly opposed to academic circles about the new Taoist Philosophy( Wei Jin Xuan Xue) under the influence of Buddhism view. He denied the Buddhist thought to influence at the time of the Taoist Philosophy( i. e. " new Taoist philosophy") was intended to show the new Taoist philosophy which have been produced before Buddhism came to China,not influenced by Buddhist thought. Thus,the important basic idea of Fang Dongmei about China Mahayana Buddhism was that " the impact is not Buddhism to Taoism,but the impact of Taoist ideas to buddhism. " The combination of Taoism and Buddhism was " Geyi",which resulted in the Indian Buddhism of China.
