内涵与外延发展相结合促进传统地学院校的转型与发展

成都地质勘探学院(1956～1958)、成都地质学院(1958～1993)、成都理工学院(1993～2001)、成都理工大学(2001～现在),是成都理工大学在不同时期所使用(过)的名称.伴随学校名称演变的是学校学科专业建设方向与服务面向的转变.随着我国政治经济及高校管理体制的变革与社会经济的发展,成都理工大学在学科专业建设上通过内涵发展与外延拓展的有机结合,成功实现了由传统单科性地质院校向多科性院校的转型,并且在发展新的学科专业的同时保持并发展了传统的地矿类学科专业的优势与特色,为我国单科性院校的转型与发展提供了一个可供参考的成功案例.

A Strategy of Combining the Connotation and the Extension to Promote a Geological College to a Polytechnical University

The predecessor of Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) is the Chengdu College of Geological Prospecting (CDCGP), founded in 1956. By exploring the evolution way from CDCGP to CDUT, the authors reach a conclusion that the kernel strategy in the transformation from a geological college to a polytechnical university is to develop its discipline and speciality by the way of combining the connotation and the extension development. The transformation from CDCGP to CDUT has set up a successful case for college and university reform in China.
