| Abstract: | This paper briefly reviews the changes which have taken place in college English teaching and its existing problems in recent years. On the basis of this review, the paper probes into the challenges faced by college English teaching and some common understandings, and presents the principles, main features and real effect of practical teaching approach adopted in Tsinghua University according to the foreign language teaching reform program. |
