| 摘 要： | 英语发展经历了古英语时期、中古英语时期和现代英语时期等三个时期。其间，英语词尾不断曲折变化。英语发展也呈现出词汇量逐渐扩大和句法不断澄清两种趋势，使英语发展成为一种成熟的、富于表达力的语言。
