| Abstract: | This paper endeavors to explore the pragmatic value of English intonation through a contrastive analysis of the Chinese and English intonation,aiming to emphasize the role of intonation in spoken discourse-based English grammar teaching.Hopefully,what has been discussed may be beneficial to the construction of the commnunication-based Engish grammar teaching model and to the implementation of the communicative grammar testing for the English majors at the elementary stage. |
