| 摘 要： | “美国梦”一直是美国人以及欧洲人追求的理想。许多人出身贫寒,衣衫褴褛,一文不名,希望出人头地,艰苦创业,虽也获得了一些成功,但最终大都遭到了失败,导致了“美国梦”的破灭,甚至走上了不归路。马丁·伊登和盖茨比的“美国梦”的破灭很好地说明了这一点。

| Abstract: | American Dream"has long been the ideal pursued by Americans and Europeans.Though many people won considerable success through unremitting hard struggle or rose to fame from a poor fellow in rags and with no money,they failed at last,only to find the disillusionment of"American Dream",even at the result of their death.Martin Eden and Jay Gatsby's stories well illustrate this point. |
