| 摘 要： | 目的：客观分析荆门市精神卫生的状况，提出科学发展荆门市精神卫生事业的建议。方法：通过深入调查研究，采取资料汇集，进行分析对比。结果：荆门市的精神专科建设历经二十年从无到有，各县、区分剐建立了规模不等的专科，基本上摆脱了我市精神疾病患者过去长期需到外地求医的困难局面，为他（她）们极大地提供了就医便利。但整体医疗水平有限，医护人才匮乏，医疗条件较差，科学普及和科学研究相对落后，资源配置欠合理。结论：1）发展荆门市精神卫生事业，建议把精神卫生事业列入市国民经济和社会发展计划；2）合理配置精神卫生资源；3）大力开展精神卫生知识的普及宣传；4）加强精神病院的自身建设；5）实施好国家支持荆门市精神卫生中心的项目，把荆门市精神卫生事业建设好、发展好。
