A New English Grammar Coursebook by Professor ZHANG Zhenbang,though influential and authoritative,still needs to be revised as regards a couple of usages.This paper discusses two points:rather than and to-clause,and the voice of to-clause,in the hope of serving as a humble step in the betterment of the coursebook.
