| 摘 要： | 铜鼓是南方少数民族使用了两千多年的打击乐器，至今还在广西壮族及其他少数民族的社会生活和民俗节庆活动中使用。广西也因此成为目前国内外发现铜鼓最多的地区。铜鼓所表征的民族文化与汉族的中原文化有很大差别。铜鼓的民族性、地域性决定了其基本特征，从而产生出特殊的历史功用和现实意义。

| Abstract: | Timbal has been used as percussion instrument by south China minorities for over two thousand years and it is still in use in societal and folk festivals in Guangxi province, The cultural token of Guangxi timbale is quite different from that of central China. The paper points out that the nationality and locality determine the basic characters, historical functions and significance of timbal. |
