王韬与中国近代出境旅游

鸦片战争后，一种新型的国际交往方式——中国近代出境旅游诞生。在其早期发展阶段中，以王韬于1867～1870年间的欧洲之旅最为典型。一方面是他的出游观光，体现了传统旅游活动的特点；一方面是他的思想在旅游过程中发生了变化，体现了旅游活动对旅游者的影响。旅游中的收获，使他的思想走在了时代的前列，也使他的旅游活动升华为了解西方，学习西方的途径之一。从其旅游活动的积极意义来看，王韬的欧洲之旅开创了中国近代出境旅游活动的时代主旋律。

A new kind of international communication?modern China's overseas travel appeared after the Opium War. Wang Tao's tour of Europe from 1867?1870 was the most typical during its early period of development. On the one hand, his going on a tour showed the character of the traditional tourism. On the other hand, change of his thought in the travel demonstrated the effect of tourism on a traveler. What he got from the tour made his thought rank first at that time, but also raised his trip to one of the ways of learning from the West. From the aspect of the significance of his tour, his travel to Europe set up the theme of the time in the history of modern China's overseas travel.
