进化论中国传播的语境与选择

进化论是影响现代中国学术发展较早且较大的一种理论,在中国的传播有特殊的时代语境和文化基础。严复对进化论的传播起着极大的推动作用,但其《天演论》对赫胥黎《进化论与伦理学》存在一定的"误译",并不是赫胥黎思想的完整体现。"社会达尔文主义"是进化论在欧洲特殊时期的畸形发展,对之不加选择地传播与介绍一定程度上"误导"了国人的价值认知。

The Dissemination of Evolutionism in China and Its Evaluation

Evolution is one of the earlier theories that greatly influenced the Chinese academic development;it is disseminated in a specific time context and cultural background.Yan Fu translated Huxley’s Evolution and Ethic;since then,evolutionism was widely known to Chinese people.However,certain"mistakes"in his translation hindered the completeness of presentation on Huxley’s ideas.Distorted in the special period in Europe as a modal of evolutionism,"social Darwinism"may mislead our value judgment if is indiscriminately introduced and disseminated.
