摘    要:多年来中国英语教学一直关注于传统的教学方法。信念、习惯、观念等文化因素决定着我们的行为、思维、观念的方式。把交际教学法与传统的教学法加以比较可以看出它们的利弊,同时也可以看出它们在英语教学中起着同样的作用。

Abstract:English language teaching in China has concentrated solely on tradition for years. Beliefs, customs, and attitude etc. are the cultural factors that determine the way we behave, think and also teach. I will compare communicative language teaching and traditional methods in detail in order to show that they both have advantages and disadvantages to some extent. Both communicative language teaching and traditional approaches in China should play an equal role in English language teaching in China.
