| Abstract: | Conventional safety factor method for confirming the bearing capacity of foundation soil has many defects. These defects in safety factor method are analyzed in this paper. The application of probabilistic limit state method in confirming the bearing capacity of foundation soil is introduced. It can be used as reference in engineering application. |
