历史学是建筑在文字记载之上的,是重视"起源"和"传播"的。当历史学成为强势学科的时候,中国文化的历史就被肤浅地描写为汉族中心或帝王中心的历史。而羌文化的特色不是为观光、为表演、为换取金钱而存在的;相反,它是羌民族本身,是羌民族的生存智慧和历史。而这段历史也不能理解为华夏文化史或中原文化史的附庸。
