英国呢绒业危机与1630-1640年的人口大迁徙

早期国外有关论述认为宗教因素是这一时期英国移民向北美“大迁徙”的主要原因。这一结论也是我国学术界直到今天的主流观点。随着历史的发展和国外学术界研究的不断深入，这一学说已经受到后人的修正。我们应当高度重视国外学对“大迁徙”问题所进行的深入研究和有价值的结论，对“大迁徙”的原因结合新的史料和国外学的研究进行补正。我们对该问题的研究不应仍然停留在比较初步的层次之上，仅仅关注“大迁徙”的宗教原因，忽视“大迁徙”的另一个非常重要的促动因素即经济因素。

The Great Migration from England During 1630-1640 and English Woolen Fabrics Industry

Early writers in America and England held the belief, which many Chinese scholars still have, that the Great Migration 1630-1640 to North America resulted mainly from a desire to obtain religious liberty for its own sake. Today this concept has been revised by American and British scholars. Chinese scholars should pay greater attention to this tendency,thus better understanding the subject. We should not only attach great importance to religious factors,but also to economic factors when the causes of the Great Migration is studied.
