摘    要:本文通过一些案例,对亚洲远程教育者分析了他们为之着迷的应用新技术的规划方案。这些教育者在基础设施和有效应用技术的技能仍很薄弱的情况下强行使用技术的闹剧显示,没有经过认真的规划,技术应用的代价将是昂贵的,并将以失败告终。很明显,急于搭乘网络快车来传授课程和学生服务存在不少问题。

Abstract:This presentation makes a case for distance educationists in Asia to revisit their planning paradigms given the level of fascination and interest they seem to show for the newer technologies.Anecdotal evidence of their at- tempts to use these technologies in an environment that is still poor in infrastructure and skills to utilize the technol- ogies effectively and efficiently seems to indicate that without serious planning,applying these technologies is fraught with heavy expenditure and frustration.Clearly the passion to join the intemet and WWW wagon to deliver courses and learner support presents major challenges.
