| 摘 要： | 重复是英语修辞中的一个重要方法，它通过某些单词、词组或句子在短时间内的重复使用来强化主题、表达情感等，从而达到一定的修辞效果。Ｄ．Ｈ．劳伦斯的散文《沉闷的伦敦》，巧妙地运用了重复这种修辞手法，使文章达到了内容与形式的完美统一。

| Abstract: | Repetition, as a positive rhetorical device, is employed on purpose to emphasize a statement or to express a strong emotion. This paper attempts to have a particular survey of D. H. Lawrence' s short essay, Dull London, to show how patterns of repetition are skillfully employed to achieve an intergration between the content and the literary style of the essay and how language can deepen our response to literary texts. |
