| Abstract: | Before seeing this, I knew I was in for a treat, but The Departed was even better then I expected. The acting is outstanding. Leonardo DiCaprio gives what is quite possibly the best performance of his career. Even people who hate him say, ＂Well, I don＇t like DiCaprio but he＇s pretty good here＂. Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson give their best since The Talented Mr. Ripley and As Good As It Gets. Mark Wahlberg serves as great comic relief and almost steals the show. And Martin Sheen is good, too. The Departed is a fast moving, intense action thriller with great usage of smart humor, fantastic acting, good character development, and the brutal Scorsese violence his fans love. Definitely one of the best films of the 00＇s. |
