白居易与音乐

Bai Juyi and Music

Bai Juyi, a Tang Dynasty poet, not only got deep cultivation for music, but also got great achievement on music. Bai had such a talent in music that he played qin, zither very well ,and sang well. In the private band of his own, he was the leader, coach and conductor. The theme on music and aesthetic view summarized by him had great significance to the development of the later Chinese classical music. The music art he created is prized and treasured until today.
