Owing to the importance of listening comprehension among the four basic foreign language acquisition skills,consid-erable attention has been given to the pedagogic method of improving listeners＇ proficiency.In speech communication,how the listeners understand the speakers＇ real communicative meaning under the sentence meaning can be an important factor to make sure the communications go on smoothly.Therefore,this paper will discuss the application and significance of cooperation principle in teaching college English listening.
