| Abstract: | This paper gives a general review of the appearance, development of "science and technology are prime productivity" proposed by Comrade Deng Xiao-ping. After exploring the full connotation of this proposition, the author expands his view that education is a solid foundtation to process in which sicence and technology become prime productivity, and the great importance of science and technology as prime productivity in the course of reform and development in contemporary China. |
