The Significance of Meng Jiao's Poetry Writing in the History of Poetry

Starting from Meng Jiao's source of art and artistic tendency, the author of this paper goes deeper into the level of the poet's feeling, analyzes his unique way of feeling, of expression and whose relationship with poems turned out in the Dali and Yuanhe periods. The author points out the special influence of Meng Jiao on the development of the Tang Dynasty poetry: First, as a figure in the transitional period between Jiao Ran and Han Yu, Meng played a vanguard role in the Mid-Tang-Dynasty renaissance of ancient poetry; second, the intense self-sense in Meng Jiao's poems strengthened and deepened the subjective flavor of lyric poems; third, with his unique poetic language, Meng Jiao fulfilled the shaping of his subjectivised art expression, and thus, broke a fresh path for novelty poems in the Mid-Tang-Dynasty.
